About the Studio

Welcome to 45th Street

Courtney Sennish is a master printer specializing in copperplate etching and photogravure. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in printmaking from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2013. Following her degree, she apprenticed under master printer Paul Taylor at Renaissance Press, focusing on the photogravure process. After relocating to the Bay Area, she worked as a printer and plate maker at Mullowney Printing while completing her Master of Fine Arts (MFA) at the California College of the Arts.

For over nine years, Courtney worked as a printer at Crown Point Press, leading and assisting on all artist projects from 2015 to 2024. Since earning the title of Master Printer, she has led Crown Point Press projects with artists including Ed Ruscha, John Chiara, Gay Outlaw, Odili Donald Odita, Patricia Treib, Alyson Shotz, Matt Mullican, and Darren Almond. Additionally, Courtney’s experience includes freelance project management for various artists, leading print demonstrations and workshops, studying papermaking at the Awagami Factory in Japan, and serving as an adjunct professor of print media at the California College of the Arts.
